Privacy Policy

Short version: we collect what you type into the contact form, we use it to reply to you, we do not sell it, and there are no analytics or advertising cookies on this site.

Who we are

Atomiq (“we”, “us”) is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. Our registered entity is Atomiq Consulting, based in London, United Kingdom. You can reach us about anything in this policy at atomiq.consulting01@gmail.com.

This policy explains what we do with personal data collected through this website. It does not cover data we process on behalf of clients during an engagement — that is governed by the data processing terms in the relevant contract.

What we collect

We only collect personal data in two ways on this site.

• What you send us. When you submit the contact form we receive your name, work email address, company name if you give one, and whatever you write in the free-text fields. If you email us directly we receive your email address and the contents of your message.
• Standard server logs. Our hosting provider records technical information about requests — IP address, browser user-agent, the page requested and the time — as an ordinary part of serving and securing the site.

We do not run analytics, advertising or tracking scripts on this site, and we do not build profiles of visitors.

Why we use it, and our lawful basis

• To reply to your enquiry and discuss a possible engagement. Lawful basis: taking steps at your request before entering into a contract (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(b)).
• To keep a record of enquiries and correspondence. Lawful basis: our legitimate interests in running and defending the business (Article 6(1)(f)).
• To keep the site available and secure. Lawful basis: our legitimate interests in preventing abuse and diagnosing faults (Article 6(1)(f)).

We do not use your details for marketing unless you separately ask us to, and we will not add you to a mailing list because you submitted an enquiry.

Who else sees it

We keep the list of third parties deliberately short. The ones that can access personal data from this site are:

• Resend — delivers the notification email to us and the confirmation email to you. Your form submission passes through their systems.
• Our hosting provider — serves the site and holds the server logs described above.
• Our email and productivity provider — where your message ends up once it reaches our inbox.

Each acts as a processor under contract and may only use the data to provide the service to us. We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with advertisers. We may disclose data where we are legally required to.

International transfers

Some of these providers operate outside the UK, including in the United States. Where personal data is transferred outside the UK, we rely on UK adequacy regulations or on the International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum, together with appropriate safeguards, as required by UK GDPR.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not lead to an engagement are kept for 24 months and then deleted, so we have context if you come back to us. Where an enquiry becomes a client relationship, we keep the correspondence for the duration of the engagement and for six years afterwards to meet our legal, accounting and insurance obligations. Server logs are retained on our hosting provider's standard schedule.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

• Ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Have inaccurate data corrected.
• Ask us to delete your data, where we have no overriding reason to keep it.
• Ask us to restrict how we use it, or object to processing based on legitimate interests.
• Ask us to send your data to you or another controller in a portable format.

To exercise any of these, email atomiq.consulting01@gmail.com. We will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk — though we would appreciate the chance to put it right first.

Cookies

This site sets no cookies. There is no analytics, no advertising and no tracking, so there is no cookie banner to dismiss. If that changes we will update this policy and ask for consent where the law requires it.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS and form submissions are encrypted in transit. Access to enquiry data is limited to the people who need it to reply to you. No system is perfectly secure, so please do not send confidential material, credentials or special category data through the contact form — tell us it exists and we will arrange a secure channel.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle personal data we will update this page and revise the date at the top. Material changes will be flagged clearly rather than made quietly.
